How do I subscribe to a LISTSERV List?

Notes:

Important: Send your request from the e-mail address to be used on the list. If you send your request from a return address that is an alias to your PID or an entirely different e-mail address, you will not be added to the list. LISTSERV will assume the request is coming from a different person.
If you want to unsubscribe from a list, refer to Unsubscribing from a LISTSERV List (http://www.answers.vt.edu/ask4help/ad_min/vtkb173.htm).

To subscribe to a list:

Start your e-mail program.
Address a new message to listserv@listserv.vt.edu.
In the body of the message, type: subscribe [List Name] [First Name] [Last Name]

Note: Replace [List Name] with the name of the list to which you want to subscribe. Replace [First Name] [Last Name] with your first and last name.
Send the e-mail message.
