Question:

When I insert a CD into my computer's CD drive to install a program, nothing happens. How do I manually start the installer in Windows Vista/XP?

Answer:

Go to My Computer.
- In Windows Vista, click the Start button, and select Computer.
- In Windows XP, click the Start button, and select My Computer.
Right-click the CD drive icon, and select Explore.
Double-click the installer.

Note: The installer is frequently named "Setup.exe" or "Install.exe".
