Question:

How can I block or filter messages from specific senders in Eudora 5.2/6 for Windows 2000/XP?

Answer:

Caution: There are critical security vulnerabilities in Eudora versions 6.2.0 and earlier for Windows. Please upgrade to the latest version from Eudora's Upgrade Your Eudora page (http://www.eudora.com/download/).

To filter messages from specific senders in Eudora:

  1. Start Eudora.
  2. From the Tools menu, select Filters.
  3. Click the New button.
  4. Place a check in the Incoming check box.
  5. From the Header drop-down list, select From.
  6. In the Contains text box, type the name that appears in the From field of the messages you want to delete.
  7. Under Action, from the first drop-down list, select Transfer To.
  8. Click the In button, and select Trash.
  9. Close the Filters window.
  10. Click the Yes button.
