How do I view newsgroups in Outlook 2002?
Answer:
Outlook 2002 uses Outlook Express to view newsgroups. When you configure Outlook to view newsgroups, Outlook Express Newsreader will open automatically.

Configure Outlook Express to connect to the Virginia Tech news server. For detailed instructions, refer to Configuring Outlook Express 5/6 for Windows To View Newsgroups (http://www.answers.vt.edu/ask4help/email/vtkb2279.htm).

Start Outlook.

From the View menu, select Go To, and then select News.

Click the Yes button.

Repeat the following for each group you want to subscribe:

From the list of newsgroups, select the newsgroup you want to join.

Click the Subscribe button.

Click OK.

From the Folders list, select news.vt.edu.

For each newsgroup to which you subscribed:

In the synchronization window, select the newsgroup.

Click the Settings button, and select All Messages.

Click the Synchronize Account button.
