Important: You must be a Virginia Tech affiliate to install TechNet.
For more information about TechNet, refer to the Virginia Tech TechNet Web page (http://computing.vt.edu/help_and_tutorials/ms_technet/index.html).
Click the Start button, and select Run.
In the Open text box, type: \\storage.vt.edu\technet
Click OK.
Note: If you are not logged on with your Hokies account:
In the Connect As text box, type: Hokies\[Your Hokies ID]
Note: Replace [Your Hokies ID] with your Hokies ID.
In the Password text box, type your Hokies password.
Click OK.
Double-click the setup.exe icon.
Complete the installation.
If this is the first time you are installing TechNet, follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: The Customer Support Center (CSC/4Help) recommends that you accept the default settings.
If you are installing TechNet over a previous installation:
When you receive the "Quick Install has detected another Volume of this Series on your computer..." message, place a check in the Quick Install check box.
